Juli 2026 The ESPR is the EU's framework for product sustainability, applying to virtually all physical goods placed on the EU market. It requires manufacturers, importers, and distributors to comply with a destruction ban on unsold textiles and footwear, disclose information on discarded unsold products, and prepare for product-specific ecodesign and Digital Product Passport requirements. Since its entry into force on 18 July 2024, the ESPR has been reinforced by additional EU measures, including:
