Coronavirus - State subsidy for rent – Slovakia20. Juli 2020 The National Council of the Slovak Republic has approved the long-awaited law on reimbursement of a part of the rent by the state in case of compulsorily closed operations. The law entered into force on 17 June 2020 and the application system was launched on 23 June 2020. What lease relationships does the subsidy cover?
What is the amount of the subsidy?
Example: If the lessor and the lessee agree on a discount of 50% of the rent, the lessee will not pay any rent and 50% of the rent will be paid to the lessor by the state. If they agree on a discount of 20% of the rent, the rent will be in the amount of 80%, with 60% of the rent paid by the lessee and 20% by the state.
