Toomas Pikamäe heads the public, environmental, and criminal law practice group at the firm. With over 25 years of experience as a legal advisor, he has prepared numerous in-depth legal analyses, mainly in public and administrative law, and has successfully represented clients before administrative, national, and European courts.
Toomas is a recognised expert in environmental law, providing advice to clients on a wide range of matters, from regulatory compliance to environmental management. He has particularly strong expertise and experience in waste management regulation.
He focuses on criminal law matters related to economic activity, such as tax, competition, and other business-related violations. He advises clients on the prevention of violations, as well as on criminal and regulatory proceedings.
In addition, Toomas has extensive experience and thorough knowledge of Estonian tax law. He advises clients on a range of matters, including double taxation, corporate income tax, VAT, transfer pricing, and taxation of permanent establishments. His expertise in tax law is internationally recognised, including by the Tax Directors Handbook.
