Cross-continent Partner move strengthens Eversheds Sutherland’s Middle East employment experienceDecember 14, 2022 Lisa Bryson takes role at Dubai office bringing two decades of experienceEversheds Sutherland has further strengthened its employment offering in the Middle East with the arrival of Partner Lisa Bryson from its UK office in Northern Ireland to Dubai. Lisa brings more than two decades of employment law experience, four of which as Partner, to the Dubai office having advised some of the global law firm’s most significant clients on contentious and non-contentious employment issues, including high-value, high-profile and commercially-sensitive matters. Her experience includes strategic advice for clients on diversity, equity and inclusion, internal investigations (including whistleblowing), the people considerations of ESG, restrictive covenants, discrimination, mental health and well-being in the workforce and global mobility issues. Lisa’s work in financial and professional services, TMT and industrials sectors makes her experience invaluable to some of the Middle East’s most successful industries. Lisa Bryson, Partner at Eversheds Sutherland, says: “It is an exciting time to be joining the Dubai office, especially as an employment lawyer. There has been a lot of change and progress in employment law matters in the Middle East with new regulations and guidelines incorporating best global practice being embedded into working culture in the region. The challenges for employers in the region (including in the DIFC and ADGM), such as recruitment, talent retention, skills shortages and diversity are similar to those across the globe. However, the transient nature of the workforce within the Middle East makes these challenges very different. I am looking forward to lending my experience to the team and our clients, and helping the region’s businesses expand with people at the core of their growth.”
