Eversheds Sutherland advises Thames Water on five-year power purchase agreementJanuary 09, 2026 Eversheds Sutherland has advised long-standing client Thames Water Utilities Limited, the supplier of water to London and the South East, on a five-year power purchase agreement (PPA) with RWE Supply & Trading GmbH for power generated by the Camster onshore wind farm in Scotland. The agreement covers an expected annual volume of 132 GWh of renewable electricity from the 50 MW Camster project, which is owned and operated by the RWE group. “Our purpose is to deliver life’s essential service, so our customers, communities and the environment can thrive. We’re committed to reducing our greenhouse gas emissions and transforming the way we generate, purchase and use energy. This PPA agreement will help us manage future planning for energy costs, supporting our sustainability and corporate social responsibility goals.
