Eversheds Sutherland Advises Infranity on Closing of $300 Million Holding Company Credit Facility with Lydian EnergyOctober 06, 2026 Eversheds Sutherland is pleased to have advised Infranity, an established infrastructure asset manager with $17 billion in AUM, on the closing of a $300 million holding company credit facility with Lydian Energy, an Excelsior Energy Capital-backed developer, owner, and operator of energy infrastructure projects. The facility will provide capital for the development, construction, acquisition, and operation of Lydian’s expanding portfolio of utility-scale battery energy storage systems and solar renewable energy projects. This transaction reinforces Infranity’s commitment to financing sustainable infrastructure assets aiming to support the energy transition while helping address increasing electricity demand and enhance grid reliability across North America. The bespoke facility is expected to give Lydian additional flexibility to accelerate the buildout of its pipeline by leveraging the value of its existing projects. The financing is also expected to strengthen the company’s ability to capitalize on rising power demand and renewable energy incentives as grid modernization and electrification continue to accelerate across the United States. As electricity demand continues to increase across the United States, battery energy storage systems are expected to play an increasingly important role in maintaining grid reliability, supporting renewable energy integration, and enhancing energy security. Lydian remains focused on developing projects that help address these challenges while delivering reliable, sustainable infrastructure solutions to communities and customers nationwide. The Eversheds Sutherland deal team was led by Energy Partner Jim Salerno, who also led on financing, assisted by Finance Associate Taner Thurman; Energy Counsel Christian Rudloff who led on project due diligence; and Tax partner Wes Sheumaker who led on the tax aspects of the transaction, with support from Tax Associate Brighid O'Donoghue. The team was also supported by Energy Partners Allison Salvia and Alyssa Walker; Environmental Partner Todd Silliman; Tax Partners Brenna Clark and Brian Tschosik; Finance Senior Counsel Eric Fenichel; and Energy Associates Jeremy Andreades, Kelly Cuthbertson, Yong Jeong and Ana Santana.
